Whether you’ve been bulk-buying bunny costumes for the kids or you’re getting psyched for a girls’ weekend away, preparations for the Easter long weekend will probably involve some time looking blankly into your wardrobe.

Two extra days out of your workwear offers a fabulous opportunity to experiment with your outfits, no matter what lies ahead.

Coasting it

Depending on local temperatures, this may be your last chance for a beachy weekend trip until next spring, so we totally understand the need to throw caution to the (possible) wind. It does make packing a little trickier, but we’ve got your back. Include a one-piece in case your favourite bikini makes your arm hairs stand on end and pack a cosy cable-knit for any round-the-campfire drunken guitar sessions, but don’t forget that while homely comfort is fine around your beachside AirBnB, you’ll regret overlooking those all-important dress-ups. Consider a chic floaty dress for breezing around the local boutiques (dress this one down with chunky flats) and maybe something sexy for a night on the town.

Glamp it up

If you’re game enough to go glamping (even, dare we say it, camping!) then the sexy slip dress could be left at home (although it really doesn’t take up much room, promise 😉 ). Focus on great denim pieces, shorts that won’t make you look like a Scout leader and a statement jacket that will give every practical outfit an elegant twist.

Homeward bound

You may have read the first two Easter scenarios with a touch of resentment because you’ve yet to see a holy holiday you’re not obliged to spend with the family. Whether the fam in question are suburbanites, country folk or coastal hippies, one thing’s for sure: you’re probably not that motivated to ‘experiment’ with your outfits. If you’ll be spending most of the time at home eating chocolate, embrace this in the very best loungewear (with the very stretchiest waistbands).

Easter retreat

Some of us just can’t resist an opportunity to take time out for ourselves, to disconnect from daily life and reconnect with mind, body and soul. And what better time to massage our spirituality than on a historically holy weekend? Treat yourself to the best in yoga gear for your special trip and take a gorgeous Camilla kaftan dress to wear to your only vegan/paleo/raw/macro dinner out.

Party on

If your whole weekend is about to revolve around a party, then let me help you get the outfit right. Three to get you started: goth-romance, pretty flirty or knock ‘em dead in red.
